Full Story Improved body armor is on its way to U.S. military By Michael Keating The U.S. Army awarded an $86.2 million contract to Point Blank Body Armor to produce the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV). The company, based in Pompano Beach, Fla., will produce 150,000 IOTVs at a rate of 25,000 per month for six months. Production will begin immediately and run through December 2008.
